Just about everywhere these days has the laws in place that prevent you from using your cell phone while driving, but they generally allow for hands-free devices. While there are people that will likely prefer Bluetooth headsets, I find that using a Bluetooth speakerphone in the car is just more comfortable. The buttons are easier to reach and, clearly, they are also easier to see. The Motorola Roadster 2 easily clips onto your sun visor and if you use the free My MotospeakApp, it will even read out your incoming text messages for you. From there, you can use voice commands to reply or initiate texts.
One major advantage that this has over other similar Bluetooth speakerphones is its power-saving function. The Roadster 2 automatically turns on and connects to your phone when you enter the car, but it also turns itself off when you leave the car. This saves a lot of battery, in case you forget to turn it on and off manually. Should you feel so inclined, it can also be used to stream music from your Bluetooth phone or MP3 player. It can also connect to two phones at the same time and it has a built-in FM transmitter to straem the audio to your car speakers.
