Motorola Droid Razr M unveiled, available for $99

Grab an M next week

Motorola came out swinging Wednesday, introducing three new phones as part of a joint press conference with Verizon.

In addition to the Droid Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD, Motorola brought forth the Droid Razr M.

With a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLEd Advanced display, Rick Osterloh, Motorola's senior vice president of product management, said the device is virtually all screen, offering 40 percent more display space then the iPhone 4S.

With the same dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor found in the Razr HD and Maxx HD, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage, the M is a mighty though slightly-less touted addition to the Droid family.

It's also got an 8MP camera, Gorilla Glass, Kevlar, 1080p video capture, a 2,000mAh battery and NFC capabilities.

'M' is for imminent release

Like the other phones announced today in NYC, the M runs Android 4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich, though a Jelly Bean upgrade is coming later this year.

Unlike the other two Droids, the M goes on sale next week with pre-orders beginning today at 5 p.m. You can pick this bad boy up for a measly $99 (£62).

The M runs on Verizon's 4G LTE network.

TechRadar will have a hands on review for all three shortly, so tune in for our one-on-one with the M.
