The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 seems to have appeared in a spy shot, looking a lot like its bigger brother.
Although there's been no word from Samsung yet, it's highly likely that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will appear at IFA 2012, which means we should only be a fortnight away from official confirmation.
It seems plausible, then, that some spy shots of the device would trickle on to the web - we've already seen the Galaxy Note 2 screen - and that's what has happened.
Phone blog Know Your Mobile has snatched an image the purports to be the new Note 2; a phablet/phonelet/tablaphone that looks likely to have a 5.5-inch screen and have a similar chassis to the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
That chassis comes complete with a silver trim that makes the device feel that little bit chunkier and, dare we say, cheaper than Samsung's range of Galaxy Tabs.
It would make a lot of sense that the design of the Note 2 is the same, given that the devices are all set to be bedfellows.
Other rumoured specs are a quadcore Exynos 4 Quad chip, S Pen technology, 2GB of RAM and a Super AMOLED screen.
Stay tuned for all the IFA 2012 news and we will endeavour to get you a hands on: Galaxy Note 2 review at the show if the device rears its head.
